Adaptive

An adaptive state is when the dominant power always has sway. It may be a leader or one person in a relationship. The others, with less power shape themselves along the way in order to keep what is important to them.

The ironic thing about the adaptive state is that large amounts of work are put into new solutions but they never go anywhere. The system eats it up in order to maintain predictability.

Adaptive systems are always looking for stability and that can be the opposite of creativity.

The creative energy produced is eaten up by stabilizing behavior.

The “System Attractor” needs to be changed in order for the feedback pattern to be changed from adaptive to creative.
